La Maison Luard: a warm and welcoming guest house in the heart of Bedous
If you discover Séjour en Aspe, you will quickly see that there are two very distinct places in Bedous: Le Mandragot and Maison Luard . Two ways to stay in the valley, two atmospheres, two different experiences.
Maison Luard is a guest house located on a quiet street in the village, just a few minutes' walk from the Mandragot. Here, guests come seeking a more relaxed and authentic stay.
One house, three bedrooms.
Maison Luard can accommodate up to 6 people, spread across three bedrooms:
- a double room with a large king-size bed
- a twin room with two single beds
- a more spacious suite, with a large bed and its own private bathroom
The first two bedrooms share a fully equipped and renovated bathroom.
The house has been renovated with the aim of preserving its character while providing modern comforts. It has a gentle, warm atmosphere, where you can really slow down.
Breakfast, a true moment of the day
Here, breakfast is included in the stay.
It is served every morning between 7:30 and 10:00, in a Franco-Spanish spirit, true to who we are.
Local products, homemade things, sweet, savory… the idea is to start the day calmly, with something good, simple and authentic.
This is often a moment that travelers particularly appreciate: you take the time, you exchange ideas, or simply you enjoy the calm before going on a hike.
A living space, quite simply
Travelers have access to a shared lounge, designed as a true living space:
- a corner for reading or relaxing
- board games
- a television
- a table to share a moment
In this space, you will also find a small refrigerator and a microwave. The idea is simple: allowing you to store local produce bought at the market, or to heat something up when returning from a day in the mountains.
While not a complete kitchen, it provides real flexibility in everyday life.
A quiet house in the heart of the village
Maison Luard is located on a quiet street in Bedous, away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to everything: shops, the Thursday market, hiking trails…
It's a balance I really like: being able to do everything on foot, while guaranteeing truly restful nights.
A story of connection and sharing
My name is Helena, and I am the founder of Séjour en Aspe.
With Maison Luard, I wanted to offer something different from Mandragot: a more intimate, more embodied place, where we welcome people differently.
We are a French-Spanish family, and this is naturally reflected in the atmosphere of the house, in our breakfasts, and in our conversations. If you enjoy diversity, the intersection of cultures, and vibrant places, you've come to the right place.
Two places, two ways to stay
Le Mandragot and Maison Luard are geographically close, but very different in the experience they offer.
- Le Mandragot : independent apartments, offering complete autonomy
- La Maison Luard : a guest house, with breakfast included and shared spaces
Depending on your travel style, one or the other will be more suitable. And sometimes, people come back to try both.
